About the Class
Purdue University offers a wide variety of Computer Graphics classes at their Polytechnic Institute. CGT 14100 served as the first introductory course to computer programming that most CGT majors must take. The course mainly serves as a way of displaying visual data on a website format.
The course explores the history, architecture, and development of the World Wide Web. Current tagging and scripting languages are covered in a tool-independent environment. Topics also include authoring tools, design, graphic and multimedia formats, and commerce, implementation, and security issues. The programs we learned were HTML5 and CSS.

Final Project: GAMEFRUIT

March 2018 - May 2019
We are GAMEFRUIT! Our mock game company hopes to deliver with all of your fruit and game-based needs! Our company will serve as a game hub to download games, a way to connect with other content creators and a center for reviews on all of the latest games! Our mock multi-minigame mobile app and website will feature descriptions of all the games and short gameplay videos, company biography and possible upcoming games they created. Success for GAMEFRUIT means continuously creating games, expanding to other platforms, rising games sales, and getting indie developers to publish on our site.

Our Website:

GAMEFRUIT’s front page has many different interactions for the user. Our first tab to be reached on the site is the “GAMES” tab. This feature allows to see the company’s latest games and even see games in the works! For the project, the group highlighted five fake game ideas shown in the “GAMES” drop box (Bananafield V, Fruitnite, Grand Theft Apple, League of Lemons, and Super Tomato Bros). Each individual game shown in the dropbox had its own game page. Each game was made to have concept art, fake reviews, and fake gameplay for the user to experience and get a general layout of the web format. All these game concepts were made from existing games but we added additional fruit-based puns. All the concept art and gameplay picture were made in adobe illustrator as a form of vector art.

The next feature is the “CONNECT” tab that accesses the forums section of our website. GAMEFRUIT allows for networking, game advice, and reviews that are all things fruity! “Whisper” forums are also implemented after an account has been made for much more important matters whether it be game concept ideas or even concept art. The last tab is the “ABOUT” section where you learn about the creators of the GAMEFRUIT company concept.
What makes GAMEFRUIT different from the rest is our ability to create games as well as showcase individual creators. Every month our site spotlights selected independent games made by young creators. Not only that but all games are free to creators as long as they have a GAMEFRUIT account.

Our App:

Due to time constraints, we were unable to fully implement our plans to make this app fully functional and formatted the way we wanted originally. Above were our original concept drawings to format our app.
Our target audience is anyone who can play mobile games (5+). But our selection of difficulty on all games varies for each age group. The purpose of our app is to network, create and discover the latest games from our company in a fun and fast way.Why should you fund us? Building this company allows us to create and complete fully-fledged games, hire game designers, and promote the website for games to give us revenue. Not only for our personal gain but our company also provides a platform for people to sell their games.
Supplemental Project
The first part of the semester included four labs for us to learn the basic techniques of creating a website. The project shown to the left and bottom were format techniques in labs three and four. After the four labs, it was our responsibility to find out our own techniques for our ambitions on the final project.
